A New porch on the Farquhar Family Home


The latest photos of the Robert Farquhar family home were taken in November of 2014.


Once the porch was restored the home now resembles the original homestead.

John Farquhar

John H. Farquhar, age 82, of Perryopolis, Pa., passed away Thursday, May 24, 2012 at home.

He was born October 18, 1929 in Washington Township, Pa., son of Allen Farquhar Sr. and Mary (Ernest) Farquhar.
John was retired from the Washington Township Road Crew.

John lived and worked the family farm all of his life.
John spent his free time restoring Antique Cars and Horse Drawn Buggies. He loved his dogs. John is survived by his wife Charmaine Nichols Farquhar; daughter, Glenda Farquhar; son, Shawn Farquhar; step children: David Steele and his wife Margaret of Belle Vernon, Pa., Debbie Dove and husband Brian of Belle Vernon, Pa., Daniel Steele of Fayette City, Pa., Tracy Thomas and her husband Dan of Belle Vernon, Pa.; brother, Frank Farquhar of Belle Vernon, Pa.; sister, Mary S t i m m e l l Yates of Allenport, Pa.; grandchildren: Brandon Farquhar, Joshua Steele, Kayla Steele, Mark Hamer, Jacob Steele, Saxon Dove, Karly Steele, Aspen Dove, Jason Nole, Asia Dove and Caleb Steele; great grand daughter, Olivia Steele; four dogs: Boy, Yuppie, Blacky and Brownie; and also his special friends at McDonald's.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, J o h n Farquhar; two brothers, James and Allen Farquhar; and three sisters, Ruth Osborne, Elsie Tiernan and Minnie Burrows.

Friends will be received on Monday, May 28, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the ELEY-McCRORY FUNERAL HOME INC., 334 Main Street, Fayette City, PA 15438 (724.326.5621) www.-eleymccroryfuneralhome.com .

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 29, at 11 a.m. in the Funeral Home with Pastor Kelly Schanely officiating. Interment will follow in the Little Redstone Methodist Cemetery, Fayette City, Pa.
